Tesamorelin is a synthetic analogue of human growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH), consisting of the full 44-amino acid sequence of GHRH with a trans-3-hexenoic acid group attached to stabilise the molecule and extend its half-life. It functions by binding to GHRH receptors in the anterior pituitary, stimulating the pulsatile release of endogenous growth hormone (GH) in a physiologically regulated manner.
In research settings, Tesamorelin has been extensively studied in the context of GH axis modulation, metabolic function, and body composition. Its most well-characterised research application involves the reduction of excess visceral adipose tissue, particularly in models examining lipodystrophy and metabolic dysregulation. Additional research has explored its potential in cognitive function, cardiovascular risk markers, and IGF-1 regulation.
Each vial contains 5mg of Tesamorelin as a lyophilised powder, with a purity of greater than 98% as confirmed by HPLC analysis.
Store lyophilised product at −20°C, protected from light and moisture. Once reconstituted, store at 4°C and use within 14 days.
