Thymalin is a polypeptide complex originally isolated from bovine thymus gland tissue, first developed by Russian researchers in the 1970s. It represents one of the foundational peptide bioregulators in the field of geroprotection and immunology research. Unlike single-sequence synthetic peptides, Thymalin is a naturally derived preparation comprising a mixture of low-molecular-weight peptides that interact with thymic hormone receptors to modulate immune function.

In preclinical research, Thymalin has been studied extensively for its ability to restore and regulate T-lymphocyte activity, enhance natural killer cell function, and normalise cytokine production in immunodeficient models. Researchers have investigated its potential role in age-related immune decline, with studies suggesting it may support restoration of thymic function in aged subjects. It has also been explored in relation to neuroendocrine regulation and antioxidant activity.

Store at -20°C. Protect from light and moisture. Stable for 24 months when stored correctly.

Reconstitute using bacteriostatic water or sterile saline prior to use in research applications.
